Biblical Basis for Ministry

Day by day continuing with one mind in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they were taking their meals together with gladness and sincerity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people.  And the Lord was adding to their number day by day those who were being saved (Acts 2:46-47, NASB).

Men’s Leadership Group

This group meets on Sunday mornings at 8:30 a.m. and is open to any man who is seeking to grow personally as a husband, father, employee, or friend, and who is seeking to grow spiritually as a Christian.

Elders Prayer Group

Our Elders meet on Sunday mornings at 8:30 a.m. to pray for the members and ministries of this congregation.  If you wish our Elders to pray for something specific, please contact them personally or leave a message for them with the Church Office.

Singles’ Bible Study Group

This group meets on Sunday mornings at 9:30 a.m. and is open to any single adult, male or female, who are over the age of 18.  The goal of this group is to discuss how to nurture faith as a single adult in a world that attempts to hinder faith as much as possible.  This functions as part of the overall Singles Ministry.

Women’s Devotional Group

This group meets on Wednesday evenings at 7:15 p.m. and is open to any women who are seeking to grow personally as a wife, mother, employee, or friend, and who is seeking to grow spiritually as a Christian.

“Young at Heart” Bible Study Group

This group meets on Thursday evenings at 6:00 p.m. for a fellowship meal and then for Bible study at 7:00 p.m.  This group is open to any adults 55 or older who consider themselves “young at heart” spiritually.

Alcoholics Anonymous

This group meets on Friday nights at 6:30 p.m. and functions to support those who are trying to break their addiction with alcohol.  While not directed by our congregation, we do sponsor this program because we feel that any help we can provide is better than not helping at all.  If you are interested in learning more about Alcoholics Anonymous, please see their website at www.aa.org.

General Bible Study Groups

These groups meet at various times and on various days during the week.  The purpose of these groups is two-fold: 1) to study either a portion of the Bible or topic from the Bible or Christian faith, and 2) to engage in Christian fellowship.  Because we limit the size of these groups, we are always starting new groups.  If you are interested in joining a Bible Study group, please contact our Family Life Minister.

Evangelism Training Class

The purpose of this group is to train Christians to engage in personal, or friendship, evangelism.  Through the study of the Becoming a Contagious Christian material (Zondervan, 1995), our members are equipped with the necessary tools that will empower them to share the Gospel with their friends and family members.  The cost of the class is $9 (the price of the study booklet) and is offered periodically throughout the year.
